# What's IA?

## Internal Affairs (IA)

Internal Affairs, also known as IA, is a specialized subdivision available to experienced staff members. IA is responsible for monitoring and moderating fellow staff, ensuring professionalism, fairness, and that all policies are followed correctly.

This is a leadership-focused role that requires maturity, accountability, and strong communication skills. Only highly skilled and trusted staff members are considered for IA.

## How Do I Join Internal Affairs?

Any current staff member is eligible to apply for Internal Affairs. However, we primarily seek individuals who demonstrate:

* Strong leadership qualities
* Excellent communication and observation skills
* The ability to explain mistakes clearly and constructively
* Willingness to hold peers accountable, including issuing punishments if necessary
